Okay, THAT is the cutest picture I've seen all week.
When I lived in Utah, we always joked that you knew that you were totally friendless if you had to buy zucchini in August, because some poor sap is always trying to unload hundreds of them onto his neighbors.
Fried zucchini with marinara Zucchini bread My three pepper pasta from yesterday. . .
That is huge! Whenever my folks found an overgrown zucchini, Mom would make stuffed zucchini. Yum! Maybe I should ignore my garden for a while and see if I can find one big enough for that.
I was just told that you can make an apple pie with a zucchini. You peel and seed it and then cut it into slices the same size as you would apples. Then prepare it the same way you would an apple pie with cinnamon and sugar. And you can't tell a difference. Makes me want to try it just to see. I still think apples sound better but I guess if you have an over load of zucchini this would work.
I was also told a funny joke about how a bishop got up to the pulpit one Sunday and cautioned the ward that it was Zucchini season and to double check that their car windows were rolled up during church or they my come out at the end of church to find their car full of zucchini. Someone trying to unload their abundance!
