Here is the scene at my local library:

The apparent story (as best as anyone can guess) is that an owl flew into one of the windows at the library and left this imprint (some believe it is dust that transferred from the owl to the window on impact). They checked around the library for the owl but couldn't find anything so there is some hope that the owl survived the collision.

I just can't get over the detail of the image left. Amazing.

I'm voting for "ghost owl." Pooh to those "scientific" explanations. Creepy.

are you serious?!
the skeptic in me says it looks like chalk.
But I'd rather believe the story.

No way, really? that is crazy!

I'm serious Jenny. There were a few folks that were also skeptical, but the window is up so high that it would have required an extremely tall ladder or a cherry picker and it is unlikely that that would have gone unnoticed--especially with the police department here attached to the library.

That's pretty cool. Maybe the books come alive at night and the Harry Potter owl got loose. That's my theory.

Jen I like your theory best.

I like Jen's theory too! My mom, Aunt, Kirk, Hunter, and Cassia went to see it after Jack's blessing, and Hunter said he thinks a neighbor found the owl and is nursing it back to health. What a cute Kid. This is very cool I think!!
